Review the standards and guidelines pertaining to stabilization, securement, and prevention of vascular access related bloodstream infections (BSI).
Discuss the latest research and publications using tissue adhesive on vascular access, across the age continuum (micro preemies to centenarians).
Discuss the components and characteristics of tissue adhesives.
Review BSI related to vascular access device use and the impact TA has on prevention.
Assess catheter stabilization and discuss the negative impact when VADs are not properly secured.
